Food for brain during exam times

We all know that exam days are quite tricky and during exams, every student is under tremendous pressure to score good marks which brings them anxiety and stress.

To keep the body in good health is a duty otherwise, we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.

During exams, everyone is stressed and students skip food carelessly and they don’t concentrate on their health. So here are some healthy food items and some tips to boost brainpower during exams.

Fish

Foods like fatty fish are natural oils and contain omega 3 fats like DHA which empowers the brain by stimulating the cells in the brain, enhances the mood. It helps in lowering stress level and helps in cognitive ability. Additional intake of fish reduces the possibility of certain mental health conditions.

Nuts

A quick and handy way to enhance brainpower is with nuts. Nuts packed with omega 3 fatty acids and proteins and nuts helps in strengthen brain cells. In addition to it, Walnuts and almonds are rich in antioxidant Vitamin E which protects the brain from mental health conditions. It is said by researchers that eating nuts while learning helps in good memory power.

Egg

Eggs are rich in nutrients and are the powerhouse of nutrients that are essential for the health of the brain. Eggs are rich in choline and that helps in the formation of brain neurotransmitters which helps in improving brain function. We all know eggs are also rich in protein, antioxidants, and some healthy fats which helps in strengthening and protecting the brain. Food with healthy nutrients like leafy greens helps in protecting the brain and it improves the function of the brain. Vitamins like A, C and K are essential in reducing free radicals which improves cell health and boosts brain power.

During exams, potassium and iron-rich foods help in increasing oxygenation which protects the brain and its augment efficiency. 

soy

Soy is another great source of omega- 3 fatty acids and proteins that are significant for improving the health of the brain and its functioning. Soy food items contain iron which affects memory, and learning ability and reduces the attention span. During exams intake of more soybeans and soy milk in the diet so that it can make your brain function better and helps in cognitive ability.

 There are some tips that are essential during exam times and they are 

•    Eat smaller meals and work smart

•    Eat at regular intervals and also ensure that good supplies of a wide range of nutrients are essential 

•    Never skip or delay breakfast because if you skip eating then it slows the function of the brain 

•    Avoid junks and unhealthy snacking. Make sure that you eat healthy snacks like sprouts, nuts 

•    While eating never get distracted and no diversions, Eat mindfully.

•    Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated

It is not said that if you skip food during exams then will you be rewarded with extra marks. A good diet can make your brain function better and will give out good results.
