Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.
What are nutrients?
Nutrients are molecules in food through which all the organism should make use of them to grow and develop. The nutrients functions and they are used by all the organisms.
Life is not living, but living in health.
Nutrients are of two types, micronutrients and macronutrients. The micronutrients are of three types which include carbohydrate, protein and fat and the macronutrients are vitamins and minerals. These are the extra molecules which every cell needs to make energy.
Macronutrients
The basic unit of carbohydrate is a monosaccharide, which is used for quick energy in the cells. Glucose, sugar is one such carbohydrate. There is something called carbo loading which is done by athletes before starting their race. They load carbohydrates within themselves as a store for quick energy. Food items like grains, cereals, bread, pasta and potatoes contain carbohydrates.
Proteins come under the category of macronutrients where the cells in our body use them for structure It is very important for tissue building like muscle as like how bodybuilders eat plain chicken just to gain muscles.
Proteins are made of smaller monomers called amino acids. There are nearly twenty amino acids that make up our body needs. Your body can make amino acids but there are nine things that should be consumed in the diet. They are called essential amino acids and they are meat, fish, beans and eggs.
Fats are called lipids and are macronutrient In body which stores energy. Fats have a long chain of carbon and hydrogen which stores energy in the carbon chain. Foods that are rich in fat are butter and oil.
Balanced nutrition includes drinking plenty of water and eating regularly on time with all the macro and micronutrients. For an infant-mother, milk provides an ideal balance of nutrients.
Food and drink must always be clean and safe from disease-causing germs like bacteria and viruses. Consumption of excess amount of food is also not good for health. Food must be consumed in a proper amount to maintain good health.
If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have the safest way to health.
Excess consumption of food leads to an eating disorder which is serious and leads to negative eating behavior that can cause death if it is untreated.
Obesity is a result of eating more food while malnutrition results from eating less food than needed for growth and daily activity.
“Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. If you have a healthy lifestyle, your diet and nutrition are set, and you’re working out, you’re going to feel good “.
There is a quote stating
“Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are”.

The food we eat depicts our taste. Everyone must concentrate on their health and take food based on their body condition than taking food for taste.
